“Historic Harrisburg, a Little Town on the Willamette River” by Bessie Tweedt.

When we ran out of copies of the original printing we obtained permission from the Tweedt family and re-published it with some enhancements to the index. Now you can look up a particular person and the index will identify all references to that person. Linda Van Orden (Junction City) served as editor of the new version. A very readable book and a good source for researching our history. This book is available at the Museum Office…$25.00

“Harrisburg Now & Then” By Charlie Kizer

This book started with a bunch of ‘turn of the Century’ (20th) pictures, mostly from Roger Walkers collection. The first part of the book has an old picture and across the page a picture of the current situation. The last part of the book contains pictures of old buildings and pictures of current, mostly business, buildings. All with a short description. A good “Coffee Table” book! Also available at the Museum Office…$30.00 (The books were printed and bound at private expense and donated to the Museum for sale. Price is close to cost…pictures are expensive to print.)
